What’s New at the Kinman Institute?

How our Seminars work

We thought this debut issue is the perfect place to show you exactly what goes on at one of our “Design/Build Professionalism” seminars. We’ve been doing this for 35+ years and have helped hundreds of contractors improve their landscape design/build businesses instantly.

Here’s how we do it:

We meet for a two-day program at our own training facility in Dublin, Ohio (just outside Columbus). We keep our classes small so we can have plenty of give and take, and each participant gets the information and attention he or she needs.
Class starts early on Day 1 when each participant introduces him or herself, and Gary takes the lead to introduce the basic elements we cover: History, Architecture, Design, Presentation, Marketing and Psychology. These the time tested, proven basics that are the foundation of our ‘process.’ This process is designed for one purpose: to assure client satisfaction.
We mix lecture and discussion with plenty of demonstrations of presentation techniques, a tour of our studios, model making practice, role-playing exercises, and more details of the ‘process.’
We add in an evening of relaxing, networking and eating that allow you to assimilate all the ideas we share.
Day 2 is more of the same, giving participants plenty of time to talk about their individual circumstances, ask questions, solve problems and make concrete plans for the changes they will make once they return home.
You will return home inspired, equipped with common-sense, tried and true business ideas, and with a new definition of your own value as a landscape design/build professional.
