WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING about Focus On Design/Build Professionalism

The dynamics of the process- a lot of enthusiasm –IT WORKS!! This is exactly what I have been looking for.
Peter Hansen, Owner

The changes this class has made in my thinking. The confidence it has made me realize that I should and could have. MY TIME IS VALUABLE. I am very excited to go home and put the ideas into practice.

I am more of a design oriented person and enjoyed all the philosophy Gary presented.
Fred Redmond, President
Blanchard Landscape Inc.

Seeing the projects at the studio, the mounds of proof, and becoming exposed to the process was what I liked best. Gary’s honesty, the “hands on”, the informality at lunch and dinner MADE ME SEE THE LIGHT NOW! This was helpful…absolutely. Great people, you must keep up the good work!
Ron Mattia, Construction Manager

Gary is a dynamic speaker. He thinks outside of the box, and challenges you to follow.

I liked the content, the message, ‘The Process’! I do not want the competition to attend this seminar ha ha. It was great, and a great value, and yes I will tell as many people as possible to GO SEE GARY!

When asked what he liked best, he replied, "THE WHOLE DAMN THING!"
James Parker, President

There is an incredible untapped process that will give anyone who uses it the ability to dazzle your clients and instill the utmost confidence between the client and designer.
Fred Anderson, Owner

I liked best being able to physically see ‘The Process.' By witnessing it, it than gave reassurance, and credibility to ‘the process’. VALUABLE INFORMATION!
Bill Adams, Owner

I liked learning the actual ‘Process’ and going to the Kinman Studio Friday afternoon and doing the role playing.
Gayle Frazer, Landscape Architect
Underhill Landscape

I loved the completeness of the description of your ‘Process’ from start to finish.
Charles Magruder, Design Sales

Energized, clarified, group dynamics was excellent. Both Cynthia and Gary were incredibly helpful and accessible. The step by step process and psychology behind the whole ‘Process’ was very important to learn.
Tom Taylor, Design Sales

I appreciated most the validation of ideas already in practice- confidence building in charging more. Great Stuff!
Howard Roberts, Design Sales

I think what I liked best was being in the room with people that have the same issues.
Derek Wray, Design Sales

Everything was great, it almost seemed tailored for just our company. I didn’t want to see the program end, and I was recommending it to others before it even ended
David Fox, Design Sales

Not only would I recommend it to others in our industry, but I would recommend it to everyone in the world! Yes, this has been a beneficial seminar, I liked best the 10% management fees.
Rich Morris, President

Peter Hansen, Owner
Vintage Landscape

I am awe struck. I wish my entire company were here. I have got so much that I want to do now, that I don't know where to start. Thank You!
Nicole Duryeeh, Design Sales
Folkes Norman Assoc.

POWERFUL! The emotion and passion displayed. The hands on in small group settings and personal discovery of ‘The Process’ was great. The timing of this program to issues within our own company were what we needed, a ‘Process’ to qualify clients, as well as the whole design process. This, to me involved quality. Start to finish. A very open forum that bounced around to allow for a more relaxed atmosphere, and honest exchanges.
Scott Mackey, Owner
Mackey Landscapes, Inc
.

I enjoyed the two days totally and look forward to permanent positive changes in our company!
Tom Coogan, Owner
Coogans Landscape

Thanks so much. I just needed affirmations that I can do this. I really appreciate your enthusiasm for up-grading the industry.
Ron Godecker, Landscape Architect
Landscape St. Louis

Gary knows his ‘Process’, is realistic in his approach and was engaging and provoked discussion. I enjoyed the interactions with the other ‘Professionals’.
Larry Butynski, Design Sales
Cross River Designs, Inc.

You simplified this 'Process' so I could do it. You are my life-force. Since attending the Focus on Professionalism seminar, I now have fewer meetings, more time, better plans, better jobs, and more income.
Michael Sidlowski, Landscape Architects
Live Oaks Landscape

The tour of the Kinman studio and the role playing while there was what I liked best. The seminar has been beneficial and I intend to utilize the ‘Process’ immediately as a tool to turn the ship in the right direction to eliminate the inmates from running the prison. I truly enjoyed it. I will recommend this to any contractor I come in contact with, especially those in my vicinity. RAISE THE BAR.
Ed Annawalt, President
Anawalts Landscape

This seminar showed me a solid way to be in more control of clients and projects. The presentation of a ‘Complete Process’, along with Gary’s enthusiasm kept things moving along. Very informative, I would recommend this info for a more positive and productive self image and professional attitude.
Greg Fettig
The Landscape Company

Emphasis on Psychology and ‘Process’ was most powerful for me because it was validating and clarified much of what I already knew, but was not practicing. The seminar and content will help me to gel and strengthen the good things we do already, and will add these new approaches presented.
Todd M. Smith
Mandy Spring Farm Nursery, Inc.

Very Good intense speaker and good examples of work( pictures/media/slides/booklet). Seeing other examples of high end residential work and how other companies approach this from a Design Build perspective. Liked being exposed to a total approach for the Design & Sales. Its tough to think of new ideas on your own. Yes, this was beneficial because it exposed me to new ideas and process that I need to “Filter” and then implement.
Sean Higgens
Cross River Designs Inc
.

The design review of projects, the “Listening Process’ (especially to the 1st meeting), the exchanging of ideas, and the extension of architecture really made me think back of projects where I did not follow this. I would highly recommend this to other competent landscape contractors and designers.
Charlie Schuall, Owner/Design Sales
Aridscape

This is my fourth time to see Gary - he is my “Landscape Hero”!
Ed Watters, Owner
Watters & Chattam

I liked the way the concepts reduced our mindsets and prejudices we have that tend to limit our ability to truly read what the client is thinking. I believe we have a better feeling of how to project ourselves, our image. Also, we will see our resource office and library of ‘elements’ improved.
George Brown Sr., Owner
Superior Scapes

The entire seminar was a boost to my self esteem. I believe this will help me gain courage to land bigger jobs because I am using your system or ‘process’. The idea of A Process that puts YOU in authority with the client is what I liked best. I am very interested to use these techniques and information.
George Brown Jr., Landscape Architect
Superior Scapes

This seminar reinforces your natural instincts of your business. It makes you so aware of all your resources and how to take advantage of them! It’s always great to connect with people and ideas. Sharing knowledge is POWERFUL!
Howard Roberts, Design Sales/ Owner

I can’t wait to get home to use these superb concepts! Costing issues, design information, how to deal with, and gain control of your client. It has changed my designs. Thank you so much!

I appreciated the desire that Gary and Cynthia had to improve our businesses. The wealth of knowledge that they are so readily willing to share, the forms, sample letters, process’s, billing for drawings and services, etc… Great day. Great energy. Great systems. Great ideas. This will be a life changing two day experience. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!
– Thank you for opening your minds, your thoughts, and your process with us.
Paul St. Pierre, Owner/Design Sales
Landscape Effects

I loved learning the psychology of interaction with client. Learning about the History of Landscape Design made everything begin to make sense. Where we are- where we came from-where we need to go. I gained an understanding on how to implement new perspective to our client, one that gives our profession legitimacy and raises the bar. This was stimulating, and gave us the information we need to move forward and make changes to demand and orchestrate the relationship we want with clients.
Andee Bechtel, Owner
Longhorn Landscapes

I liked how everything was explained nice and easy in a very relaxed setting to understand better. The tour of the office and studio, the time taken to show and explain. You and your team are on the top of what you do. I am very, very impressed. It was a great day, and would recommend it to everyone.
Richard Hartman, Design Sales/Owner
The Plant People

I appreciate how the ‘process’ addresses the perceived value of what we do as designers. This process should be taught to all students of Landscape Architecture so they know who to value their own work. This was a very good presentation of some great ideas on the business side of design (what most L.A.’s lack).
Craig Tuttle
Landscape Architect

Liked the overall process, and seeing the office. Please have seminars on additional topics. I recommend BIG TIME your seminar to others.
William Ripley, Landscape Architect
Architecture Landscape

I liked how the client comes to us in ‘The Process”.
Greg Bechtel, Design Sales, Owner

I liked the innovative ideas, client awareness, the contracts and job analysis information. Using the Kinman ideas we can handle clients etc. more efficiently. Wish it was longer, I could hear everything again and still learn more.
Deb Goulden, Sales Dept.Manager

Learning the ‘Process’ and that it is made up of common sense ideas was what I liked best. I was very impressed with everyone at Kinman Associates!
